New Delhi, September 18 (Daily Kiran) : The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has opened applications for 480 engineering positions under the Engineering Services Examination (ESE) for 2027. This announcement comes as a great opportunity for candidates eagerly awaiting government job vacancies.
The available positions include categories such as Civil Engineering (Category I), Mechanical Engineering (Category II), Electrical Engineering (Category III), and Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (Category IV).
The online application process began on September 16 and will close on October 6 at 6 PM. Interested candidates can complete their registration on the UPSC’s official website before the deadline.
Applicants must hold a degree or diploma in engineering from a recognized institution. The minimum age requirement is 21 years, while the maximum age is set at 30 years, calculated as of January 1, 2027. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per government rules.
Selection will be based on a series of assessments, including a written preliminary exam, a written main exam, a personality test/interview, and a medical examination, along with physical standards. The preliminary exam is expected to take place on January 31, 2027, followed by the main exam on June 18, 2027.
While filling out the application, candidates must pay the specified application fee online. For General, OBC, and EWS candidates, the fee is set at ₹200. SC/ST/PWD candidates and women are exempt from the registration fee.
