Uttar Pradesh Enhances Early Childhood Education with New Digital Tracking Initiative

Lucknow, October 13 (Daily Kiran) : The government of Uttar Pradesh is taking significant steps to strengthen early childhood education by digitizing the enrollment details of children in Balvatikas. This initiative aims to create a systematic and robust framework for tracking students.

Monika Rani, the Director General of School Education and State Project Director, has instructed all District Basic Education Officers to ensure that the details of children enrolled in Balvatikas and co-located Anganwadi centers are recorded on the U-DISE Plus portal. A deadline of 15 days has been set for this task.

The directives emphasize the importance of careful data entry, verification of information, and regular reviews of progress at the block level. Senior experts in pre-primary education and regional assistant education directors have also been tasked with monitoring data quality. The focus is on ensuring that the details of enrolled children are accurately recorded within the stipulated timeframe.

This initiative is being implemented in reference to a memorandum from the Statistics Bureau of the Ministry of Education’s Department of School Education and Literacy. The Director General has stressed the need for complete data entry on the portal while ensuring accuracy, so the information available remains reliable and useful.

District Basic Education Officers have been urged to prioritize this task, regularly reviewing progress at their level and ensuring that complete data entry is achieved within the 15-day window. Coordination among district program officers, block education officers, and relevant officials is also emphasized.

Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh noted that systematically collected data on Balvatika children will aid in planning better early education and understanding children’s educational needs. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to enhancing the quality of early childhood education.

Monika Rani reiterated that the enrollment details of children in Balvatikas will be recorded accurately and completely on the U-DISE Plus portal within the specified timeframe, with all districts expected to meet the 15-day deadline.
