UP’s Digital Drive Reaches Over 11 Lakh Youth with Govt Schemes

Lucknow: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh Industrial Consultants Limited (UPICON) has launched a pioneering digital awareness campaign to promote government employment and welfare schemes among the youth.

This campaign focuses on key initiatives such as the Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana, One District One Product (ODOP) training programmes, the Chief Minister Youth Entrepreneurship Development Scheme (CM Yuva), and the ODOP Margin Money Scheme. UPICON, a government agency dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship and self-employment in Uttar Pradesh, provides support and platforms for young entrepreneurs to start their own businesses.

Digital Outreach via Social Media Influencers

Praveen Singh, Managing Director of UPICON, stated that the campaign leverages the rapid spread of information in the digital era by using social media platforms to directly reach youth, artisans, and prospective entrepreneurs. The aim extends beyond mere promotion to educating eligible beneficiaries about their rights, opportunities, and the processes involved in training and benefits.

The campaign collaborates with social media influencers across 15 districts to disseminate videos explaining training procedures, beneficiary experiences, and practical benefits of the schemes in simple language. These videos have been shared as Instagram reels as well as on Facebook and YouTube, significantly expanding the campaign’s reach and impact.

Wide Reach and Positive Impact

So far, the digital awareness campaign has connected with over 11 lakh followers through Instagram posts and other social media channels. It informs youth about self-employment opportunities, provides artisans with knowledge about modern training and financial assistance, and makes entrepreneurs aware of government support and subsidies. This has not only increased awareness but also led to a noticeable rise in applications and participation.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision is to make every youth self-reliant and to bring national and international recognition to traditional crafts and local products. UPICON’s digital campaign is a crucial step in realising this vision. It establishes direct communication between the government and the public, dispelling misconceptions and encouraging more eligible beneficiaries to avail of these schemes.

Ongoing Expansion and Future Plans

The campaign is being extended to remaining districts assigned to UPICON, with continuous efforts to complete this work promptly. This initiative has emerged as a powerful means to deliver employment-oriented government schemes to the masses. By enhancing awareness through digital platforms, the campaign plays a vital role in making Uttar Pradesh self-reliant, skilled, and prosperous through increased employment.
