Vijay Files Nomination in Tiruchi East Amidst Enthusiastic Supporters

Tiruchi, April 2: In a significant move in Tamil Nadu’s political landscape, actor-turned-politician Vijay filed his nomination for the Tiruchi East assembly seat on Thursday. The event attracted a massive crowd of supporters, creating a chaotic atmosphere in the city for a brief period.

Vijay, accompanied by hundreds of excited fans, was seen rushing with his convoy. Despite police efforts to manage the crowd, the excitement led to a temporary disruption. During this time, a woman running alongside the convoy lost her balance and fell, raising concerns among those present.

Upon noticing the incident, Vijay promptly halted his vehicle, exited, and assessed the woman’s condition, offering her assistance. His compassionate gesture garnered significant appreciation from onlookers.

However, the situation caused a temporary traffic halt, adding to the emotional intensity of the moment.

Following the incident, Vijay submitted his nomination papers to Returning Officer Muthu Murugesa Pandian at the Tiruchi East election office. He is contesting from two seats, having already filed his nomination for the Perambalur seat.

After the nomination, Vijay paid tribute to the statue of former Chief Minister M.G. Ramachandran (M.G.R.), reflecting on his contributions. He then engaged with the public, addressing several pressing issues.

Vijay raised concerns about the shortage of LPG cylinders in certain areas, questioning whether all households were receiving adequate gas supplies. He criticized both the central and state governments for failing to take concrete steps to resolve this issue.

Targeting Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, Vijay questioned why trips to Delhi are made for other issues but not for the gas crisis.

Additionally, he expressed worries about law and order, referencing the murder of a schoolgirl in Vilathikulam. He stated that people feel unsafe and emphasized the need for change in the state. Vijay urged voters to defeat the ‘evil forces’ currently in power.
