Uttar Pradesh Weather Update: Most areas in Uttar Pradesh have been witnessing cloudy skies since late last night. Many places have already received rain, leading to a noticeable drop in temperatures. In some locations, it has been raining heavily since the night, causing waterlogging on roads and severe traffic jams. The situation has become so difficult that daily life has been disrupted for many residents.

Heavy Rain and Thunderstorm Alert for August 26

According to the Meteorological Department, today (August 26) is also expected to bring challenging weather conditions. The IMD has forecasted heavy rain with thunderstorms in more than 40 districts across the state. A yellow alert has been issued, warning people to be prepared for possible disruptions.

Districts Likely to Receive Heavy Rain

The IMD has specifically alerted the following districts for the possibility of heavy rain and thunderstorms:
Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, and Gonda.

Other districts where heavy rain is expected include Hardoi, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Unnao, Ambedkar Nagar, Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, and Baghpat.

Additionally, the weather department has predicted heavy rains with thunderstorms in Meerut, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Kasganj, Etah, Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Amroha, Sambhal, and Badaun.

How Was the Weather Yesterday?

On August 25, several areas in Uttar Pradesh also faced troubles due to heavy rainfall. Roads were flooded, and the situation became so severe that drivers faced major difficulties. Even now, high water levels are being recorded in rivers, drains, and ponds in many places, causing continuous worry for residents.
