UP Minister Dara Singh Chauhan Predicts BJPs Victory in Upcoming Elections
Dara Singh Chauhan claims BJP will win Uttar Pradesh elections with a two-thirds majority under Yogi Adityanaths leadership.

Mau, October 22 (Daily Kiran) : Uttar Pradesh Minister Dara Singh Chauhan expressed confidence that under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will secure a two-thirds majority in the upcoming state assembly elections. He also predicted that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would retain power at the center in 2029 under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Chauhan criticized Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav, suggesting that Yadav only remembers Azam Khan as elections approach. In a recent interview, he highlighted that since 2017, the state has been governed effectively under Adityanath, while Modi has led the central government since 2014.
The minister emphasized that the double-engine government at both the state and central levels is focused on development for all sections of society, not just specific castes. He noted that marginalized communities, often overlooked since independence, are now benefiting from various government initiatives.
Chauhan pointed out that the Modi administration has implemented programs providing gas connections to the poor. He also mentioned that the Uttar Pradesh government is actively creating job opportunities for youth and has increased salaries for several long-waiting employee groups. He believes that these development efforts will ensure a two-thirds majority for the BJP in the 2027 assembly elections, as the public is eager to support the party again.
Commenting on Yadav’s recent meeting with Azam Khan, Chauhan questioned why Yadav only reached out to Khan when the latter faced legal troubles. He accused Yadav of attempting to shift political dynamics as elections draw near. Khan, a significant figure within the Samajwadi Party, has expressed dissatisfaction with the party’s direction.
Chauhan asserted that opposition parties are anxious about the BJP’s development initiatives. Referring to the recent meeting of the India Block, he noted that since the NDA government was formed under Modi, the opposition has frequently raised concerns about electronic voting machines (EVMs) following electoral defeats. He argued that parties questioning election results should provide evidence to support their claims.
He also mentioned states like Kerala, Telangana, Karnataka, and Himachal Pradesh, where opposition parties have achieved electoral success while EVMs were utilized, highlighting that it is inappropriate to question the machines’ integrity only after losing elections.
