Daund, September 27 (Daily Kiran) : A violent incident occurred in the Daund area of Pune, Maharashtra, where a 29-year-old man was assaulted and robbed. Police have registered a case against two brothers involved in the crime.
The victim, identified as Dinesh Bharat Dhanwe, was reportedly talking on his phone near the railway grounds when the suspects approached him, demanding money and questioning his presence in their area. When Dhanwe refused to leave, the attackers broke his mobile phone and struck him, causing him to fall to the ground.
Adarsh Anil Jadhav, one of the accused, then assaulted Dhanwe with an iron rod, injuring his back, thigh, and head. During the altercation, the assailants forcibly took 3,500 rupees from Dhanwe’s pants pocket.
As Dhanwe attempted to call relatives for help, Adarsh summoned his brother Aman Anil Jadhav to the scene. Together, they verbally abused Dhanwe and threatened him with death.
Following Dhanwe’s complaint, the Daund police have initiated an investigation and filed charges against both Adarsh and Aman Jadhav. This incident adds to a series of criminal activities reported in the area, including a medical fraud case earlier this year, where a fake doctor was arrested for practicing without a valid medical license and illegally operating a clinic.
Authorities continue to investigate the recent robbery and ensure the safety of the community.
