Trump Warns Iran: No Place for Another Extremist Leadership, Pahlavi Could Be an Option

Washington, March 4: President Donald Trump has warned that the ongoing conflict with Iran could lead to the rise of another extremist leadership in Tehran. He acknowledged that exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi might be a potential option for political change in the future.

During a meeting in the Oval Office with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Trump emphasized that the primary focus of the U.S. is to weaken Iran’s military capabilities. However, he also raised concerns about what could happen if the current leadership were to fall.

Trump stated, “The worst-case scenario could be that we do all this, and then someone comes to power who is just as bad as the previous one.”

He stressed the importance of avoiding such a situation. Trump expressed that the U.S. hopes for a leadership change in Iran that would benefit the general populace, rather than ushering in another extremist regime.

“We want a leader who can take the country in a better direction for the people. Now we will see what the people decide. They also have a chance,” he remarked.

When asked whether exiled Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi could become a leader in the future, Trump did not dismiss the possibility.

“It’s possible. Some people like him. However, we haven’t thought much about it,” he said.

Trump also mentioned that a leader could emerge from within Iran who might be more suitable for the role.

“I think someone coming from within the country might be more appropriate. If there’s someone popular in Iran right now, it could be easier for them to take on leadership,” he noted.

He claimed that recent military strikes have significantly damaged Iran’s leadership structure.

“Most of the people we were thinking about are now dead. Some of those in that group have been killed. Now we have another group. Reports suggest they could also be targeted,” Trump added.

He indicated that ongoing military actions are aimed at Iran’s leadership and military framework. Trump remarked, “It seems that soon there will come a time when we will find it difficult to identify anyone there.”

Chancellor Merz stated that Berlin and Washington agree on the need to consider what happens after the current leadership in Tehran.

Merz said, “We are on the same page regarding the removal of this terrible regime in Tehran, and we will discuss what happens the next day if they are gone.”

The German leader noted that Europe also wants to work with the U.S. to formulate a comprehensive strategy for the region. He expressed eagerness to understand how to handle the situation following the current regime.

It is noteworthy that in recent weeks, the U.S. has intensified military operations targeting Iran’s military and nuclear infrastructure, significantly raising tensions across the Middle East.
