Phoenix, April 18: U.S. President Donald Trump praised his economic accomplishments during a ‘Turning Point USA’ event in Arizona. He also claimed successes in foreign policy and urged his supporters to help the Republican Party win in the midterm elections.
Trump stated, “Our economy is growing rapidly, incomes are rising, investment is soaring, and we have defeated inflation. Our workers are thriving, borders are secure, and America is respected worldwide.”
He described the 2024 elections as crucial, asserting, “The Republican Party has won in all seven swing states. We have secured both the Electoral College and the popular vote. This is what you call a ‘landslide.'”
Trump emphasized the need to win the midterms, saying, “We must work together to make every possible effort. If voter turnout is high, we will achieve a significant victory.”
On foreign policy, Trump asserted that Iran will never acquire nuclear weapons and claimed progress in negotiations. He noted that the Strait of Hormuz is now fully open for trade, while also stating that the U.S. Navy’s presence will remain.
He remarked, “When we needed NATO allies, they proved to be completely useless. America has built ‘the best military in the world.'”
Trump claimed that recent diplomacy has led to an “unprecedented ceasefire” between Israel and Lebanon, thanking several countries, including Pakistan and Gulf nations, for their assistance. He said, “All of them have provided tremendous help.”
He reported that there have been “zero illegal entries” into the country in recent months and that violent crime has significantly decreased. He added that fentanyl trafficking has dropped by an astonishing 59%, with a 97% reduction in illegal drug shipments by sea.
The President highlighted tax cuts, regulatory rollbacks, and changes in education as his major achievements. He stated, “We have approved the largest tax cuts in American history, the biggest reduction in government spending, and the most significant regulatory relief.”
Trump also criticized Democrats, accusing them of supporting open borders and opposing law enforcement measures. He claimed that Democrats want to protect criminal foreigners, contrasting this with Republican efforts to deport criminals.
He framed this election as a choice between two different ideologies, saying, “If you want a prosperous and strong country, you must go out and vote for Republicans in the midterm elections.”
‘Taking Point USA’ has emerged as a vital platform for uniting conservatives, especially among young voters, and Trump’s presence underscored his ongoing influence on Republican strategies.
