Trump Considers Limited Deployment of U.S. Troops to Iran

Washington, March 7: U.S. President Donald Trump has shown personal interest in deploying American soldiers to Iran, according to reports from reliable sources.

Trump has reportedly engaged in discussions with his aides and Republican leaders regarding the potential deployment of troops. However, this plan is not aimed at a large-scale invasion but focuses on sending a limited number of soldiers for specific strategic missions. No final decision has been made yet.

Sources indicate that Trump has also outlined a potential post-war plan for Iran. This could involve securing Iran’s uranium stockpile and collaborating on oil production with a new Iranian government, similar to the current U.S.-Venezuela oil arrangement.

In response to this report, White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt stated that the information is based on estimates from unnamed sources and does not reflect the views of the President’s national security team. She emphasized that Trump always keeps all options open and it is incorrect to suggest he supports any single option.

In an interview with the New York Post earlier this week, Trump remarked that while previous presidents have refused to send troops, he believes that “perhaps it won’t be necessary, but if needed, it could be an option.”

Meanwhile, according to the United States Central Command, American forces have conducted attacks on over 3,000 targets inside Iran since the military operation began on February 28, damaging or destroying 43 Iranian vessels.

The U.S. and Israel initiated significant attacks on Iran on February 28, resulting in the deaths of several senior military commanders, including Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei. In retaliation, Iran has continued missile and drone strikes targeting U.S. bases and Israel in the region.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has stated that the country is not seeking a ceasefire and sees no reason to engage in talks with Washington.
