Washington, March 6: President Donald Trump stated that Iran is now seeking negotiations following significant military losses. He emphasized that the U.S. and Israeli forces are continuously targeting Tehran’s missile and drone capabilities.
During an event honoring the 2025 MLS champion Inter Miami CF, Trump remarked that the U.S. and its allies are rapidly diminishing Iran’s military strength. According to him, Iran has already begun reaching out for discussions.
“They are calling and asking how to make a deal. I told them they are a bit late,” Trump said.
He noted that the joint military operation is progressing faster than expected, inflicting heavy damage on the Iranian military.
“The U.S. military and our Israeli allies are completely destroying the enemy’s capabilities ahead of schedule,” he claimed. Trump also asserted that Iran’s missile launch systems are destroyed within minutes of use. “As soon as they launch a missile, the launcher is targeted and obliterated within four minutes,” he added.
He mentioned that Iran’s navy has also suffered significant losses, claiming that 24 Iranian ships were destroyed in three days.
Trump stated that the U.S. military has eliminated a substantial portion of Iran’s air defense systems and aviation capabilities.
“Their anti-aircraft weapons are gone. They have no air force, and they have no air defense,” he said.
According to Trump, approximately 60% of Iran’s missile systems and 64% of its launch infrastructure have already been destroyed.
Despite the military pressure, Trump indicated that Washington is prepared for a different future for Iran if individuals within the country’s security system break away from the current leadership.
“I once again appeal to all members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, military, and police to lay down their arms,” he stated.
Trump also urged Iranian diplomats abroad to support political change within the country and to abandon their party. “We appeal to Iranian diplomats worldwide to seek asylum and help us create a new and better Iran,” he said.
The President assured that those who cooperate would receive immunity. “You will be completely safe with full immunity; otherwise, you face a guaranteed death,” he warned.
Trump believes that the long-term effects of this military campaign will positively impact the entire region and the global energy market.
“In the long run, our actions will increase stability in the region and positively affect oil prices, the stock market, and other economic activities,” he concluded.
These comments come at a time when the U.S. and Israel have intensified military attacks against Iran. The U.S. accuses Iran of supporting terrorist organizations and attempting to develop nuclear weapons, raising concerns across the Middle East, particularly as many vital oil supply routes pass through the region, potentially impacting the global energy market.
