Trump Claims Iran Approves Nuclear Deal Framework, US Halts Attacks

Washington, June 12: President Donald Trump announced that he has canceled planned U.S. attacks on Iran. He stated that negotiations have reached the highest levels of Iran’s leadership. Trump claimed that Iran’s leadership has approved a framework for an agreement with the U.S., which would prevent Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons permanently.

He described this as a significant diplomatic success following weeks of tension and conflict. However, he clarified that the U.S. naval blockade will continue.

In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump wrote, “Negotiations with the Islamic Republic of Iran have reached the highest levels of their leadership, and approval has been granted. Therefore, as President of the United States, I am canceling the planned attacks and bombings.”

This announcement starkly contrasts with his earlier warning of a “very strong attack” on Iran. This development comes as the U.S. maintains pressure on Iran’s oil exports and maritime activities.

Trump indicated that negotiations are in the final stages, with only formal signatures needed on the agreement. Documents are currently being prepared. He suggested that a new leadership group has emerged in Tehran following the conflict.

“We have made a very good deal to end the ongoing conflict with Iran. Only the finalization of documents remains, which should be completed in the coming days. We have an agreement that will ensure Iran can never develop nuclear weapons. That was the primary goal of our efforts,” Trump stated.

When asked if Iran’s supreme leader approved the arrangement, Trump replied, “To my knowledge, the answer is yes.”

He noted that all parties, including the U.S., Israel, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Turkey, Pakistan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, and others, have approved the negotiations and final points at both theoretical and detailed levels.

However, he did not provide specific details about the proposed agreement or the negotiation topics.

The President also indicated that the U.S. will maintain its maritime pressure on Iran while negotiations continue.

Trump emphasized that the naval blockade will remain fully in effect until the agreement is finalized. An announcement regarding when and where the agreement will be signed will be made soon.

He attributed Iran’s readiness for this agreement to recent military pressures, stating they have suffered significant losses. “They know how crucial this agreement is for them. Their military capabilities have been severely damaged,” Trump claimed.

He added, “Their navy is finished, their air force is finished, their air defense systems are finished; everything is gone. Now they are going to show wisdom by agreeing.”

Throughout his statement, Trump repeatedly stressed that preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons is the main objective of the negotiations.

He concluded, “Iran will not possess or purchase nuclear weapons in any form. This is a fantastic agreement because they will never have nuclear weapons.”
