Washington, February 25: Former U.S. President Donald Trump has reiterated his assertion that he played a crucial role in ending eight wars during his tenure. He stated that many believe if he had not intervened during India‘s Operation Sindoor, the Prime Minister of Pakistan would have died.
In his State of the Union address at the White House on Tuesday, Trump claimed, “In my first ten months, I ended eight wars, including conflicts between Cambodia and Thailand, as well as between Pakistan and India. If we hadn’t intervened in a potential nuclear war, 30 million people believed the Prime Minister of Pakistan would have died.”
Trump further claimed to have resolved conflicts such as those in Kosovo and Serbia, Israel and Iran, Egypt and Ethiopia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, Congo and Rwanda, and certainly the Gaza conflict. A few months ago, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif mentioned to Trump that without his intervention, 35 million Pakistanis would have died during Operation Sindoor.
He announced that under his leadership, the U.S. experienced “an unprecedented change” in just one year, informing Congress that the nation achieved “a transformation never seen before.”
He stated, “Tonight, just one year later, I can proudly say we have achieved a change like never before, a historic change. We will never return to the situation we were in some time ago.”
His second State of the Union address is expected to break the record for the longest speech. Sources suggest that if it exceeds one hour and 45 minutes, it would not be surprising.
Citing the founding ideals of the United States, he remarked that since 1776, every generation of Americans has stepped up to protect the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for the next generation. “Now it’s our turn,” he added.
He emphasized that his administration is “creating a nation where every child has the opportunity to reach high and advance, where the government is accountable to the people, not the powerful, and where the interests of hardworking American citizens are always our top priority.”
Regarding the economy, Trump predicted continued domestic growth, stating, “In the future, factories, jobs, investments, and trillions of dollars will continue to come to the United States—because we finally have a president who puts America first.”
