
Indore, August 23: A tragic road accident occurred on Sunday along the Mangod-Manawar Highway near Jirabad in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district. A collision between a motorcycle and a Bolero vehicle resulted in the deaths of a man, his four-year-old son, and the child’s uncle. A 12-year-old girl sustained serious injuries in the incident.
The family was traveling on a motorcycle to invite a sister for Raksha Bandhan when the Bolero struck them. According to police reports, the accident happened around noon, approximately five kilometers from the sister’s home in the village of Rodda, near Dagariya Van village.
The deceased, 32-year-old laborer Antarsingh, was riding with his son Ashok, daughter Resham, and 50-year-old uncle Bhuroosingh. They were heading to deliver a Rakhi invitation when a Bolero coming from Amjhera towards Jirabad collided with them.
The impact was so severe that the motorcycle was thrown off the road. Antarsingh, young Ashok, and Bhuroosingh died on the spot, while Resham was critically injured and was taken to Gandhwani Hospital by Jirabad police for treatment.
Emergency services arrived promptly after receiving calls about the accident, and the bodies were sent to a nearby hospital for post-mortem examinations. Officers from the Jirabad police station reported that initial investigations indicate the Bolero hit the motorcycle from behind. Eyewitness statements are being recorded, and evidence is being collected from the scene.
Traffic on the Mangod-Manawar Road was disrupted for some time. Bystanders were shocked to see the damaged motorcycle and the three bodies on the road. The tragedy has cast a pall of mourning over the village, turning the festive preparations for Raksha Bandhan into deep sorrow. Police are investigating the exact circumstances of the collision.
