Tragic Accident on Mokama-Bakhtiyarpur Highway Claims Three Lives

Mokama, September 8 (Daily Kiran) : A serious accident on the Mokama-Bakhtiyarpur Highway in Bihar resulted in the deaths of three people on September 8. A speeding car, traveling from Patna to Khagaria, lost control and collided with a roadside divider.

Witnesses reported that the impact was so severe that the occupants were trapped inside the vehicle. Local villagers and passersby rushed to the scene to assist with the rescue efforts. Due to the car’s doors being jammed, they used cutters to extricate the victims.

A team from the Mokama police station arrived shortly after the incident was reported. With the help of locals, the three injured individuals were transported to the Mokama Trauma Center. Unfortunately, doctors declared all three dead upon arrival.

The deceased have been identified as Pawan Gupta, Sulochana Devi, and the driver, Salman, all residents of Khagaria. The police have taken possession of the bodies for post-mortem examinations and have informed the families of the victims.

Initial investigations suggest that excessive speed and loss of control were the primary causes of the accident. Authorities are also looking into other aspects of the incident. The families of the victims are in deep mourning, and the community is grieving this tragic loss.

In a separate incident, two women were injured when a passenger bus overturned near the village of Tilangi Bahuarwa in the West Champaran district on the same morning. This accident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Purushottampur police station.
