Tragic Accident in Sonia Vihar Claims Life of 10-Year-Old Girl

New Delhi, February 25: A tragic road accident occurred in the Sonia Vihar area of East Delhi late Tuesday night. A 10-year-old girl lost her life, and two others sustained serious injuries. Local police arrived at the scene and initiated legal proceedings.

According to reports, a speeding dumper collided with a motorcycle on the first pushsta of Sonia Vihar. The motorcycle riders, a young man, his 13-year-old brother, and their 10-year-old sister, were thrown onto the road upon impact. The girl was pronounced dead at the scene, while both brothers are currently receiving treatment at a hospital.

Following the incident, angry locals protested on Pushsta Road, voicing their concerns. They stated that heavy vehicles, including dumpers and trucks, are prohibited on this road, yet such accidents continue to occur.

Police reported that they received information about the fatal accident around 12:50 AM on February 25. Upon arriving at the scene, they found three individuals who were immediately taken to GTB Hospital for medical care.

The doctors declared the 10-year-old girl dead, while the other two victims are still undergoing treatment. A case has been registered at the Sonia Vihar police station under relevant sections of the law. A forensic team has examined the site and collected evidence. The body of the deceased has been sent for post-mortem, and police teams have been deployed to apprehend the suspects as soon as possible.

It is reported that Ankur Kumar, a resident of the first pushsta, was returning home late at night with his brother and younger sister after attending a wedding. Their motorcycle was suddenly struck by the dumper near the first pushsta.
