Bhopal, May 12: A tragic accident occurred near Dandroua village in Bhind district, Madhya Pradesh, where a pickup truck collided with a tree. This incident resulted in the death of three individuals, while two others sustained serious injuries.
According to police reports, the driver lost control of the vehicle, leading to the crash. Officials stated that the accident took place early in the morning.
The victims were reportedly transporting livestock to Dandroua village. As the truck approached Gate Number One of Dandroua Dham, it suddenly veered off the road and overturned after hitting a tree. The impact was so severe that three people died on the spot.
The deceased have been identified as 50-year-old Pritam Manjhi and his son Sunil Manjhi, both residents of Choli village in Gwalior. The third victim has been identified as Upendra Rana, who lived in Lakhanouti village, also in Gwalior district.
Two other passengers, identified as Ramroop Baghel and Manvendra Thakur from Airoli village, suffered serious injuries. Following the incident, police teams from Mehgaon police station arrived at the scene to initiate rescue operations.
The injured were promptly taken to a nearby hospital for emergency care. However, after initial treatment, doctors reported their conditions as critical, necessitating their transfer to a hospital in Gwalior.
Local police have registered a case and are currently investigating the matter. Preliminary reports suggest that the vehicle was heavily loaded before it overturned due to the collision with the tree, resulting in the fatalities. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem before being handed over to their families in Gwalior.
