Three Robbers Arrested After Encounter in Hathras, Two Injured

Hathras, March 26: The Hathras Special Operations Group (SOG) and Sikandra Rao police have arrested three criminals involved in a robbery at a customer service center. During the police’s counter-fire, two of the accused, Yash Kasana and Vishal, sustained gunshot wounds. The third suspect, Vicky, was apprehended during a combing operation. Authorities recovered the vehicle used in the crime, a Scorpio, along with three firearms, eight cartridges, and ₹50,000 in cash.

According to reports, on March 18, robbers in a black Scorpio attacked Amit, the operator of the customer service center, in the Dukriya Bamba area of Sikandra Rao. The police had registered a case and were investigating the incident when they received information about the robbers’ whereabouts.

Additional Superintendent of Police Ramanand Kushwaha stated that during vehicle checks based on the tip-off, the black Scorpio was spotted. When the police signaled for it to stop, the robbers attempted to flee down a dirt road leading to Varutarkhas. Realizing they were cornered, they opened fire on the police. In response, the SOG team and Sikandra Rao police returned fire.

As a result, Yash Singh from Ghaziabad and Vishal from Kasganj were injured, while Vicky from Etawah was captured while trying to escape. The police have initiated necessary legal actions regarding the arrests and recoveries. The injured robbers have been admitted to a hospital. Additionally, police are interrogating to identify other individuals involved in the robbery.
