Beijing, August 25: The third China-U.S. Track 1.5 Dialogue took place on August 25 in the capital of China, Beijing.
Representatives from China and the United States, including officials from relevant departments, regional governments, think tanks, and the Asia Society, engaged in discussions aimed at strengthening mutual political trust, expanding economic and trade cooperation, and exploring collaboration in AI and technology.
This dialogue is a collaborative effort between the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Asia Society. It was established in 2023, with the second dialogue held in Beijing on June 13, 2024.
The Track 1.5 Dialogue serves as a crucial platform for exchanges between political parties and the strategic, commercial, educational, and non-governmental sectors of both nations. It bridges official diplomacy (Track 1) and purely non-governmental dialogue (Track 2).
The dialogue has provided extensive recommendations to enhance mobility and cooperation between China and the U.S. across various fields, including politics, economy, trade, technology, and culture.
