Telangana Government to Formulate Land Allocation Policy for Monasteries at Yadagirigutta Temple

Hyderabad, June 30: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has directed officials to create a clear policy for allocating land to various monasteries within the jurisdiction of the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Devasthanam at Yadagirigutta.

He emphasized that land ownership should primarily remain close to the temple. The Chief Minister reviewed the temple’s development projects during a high-level meeting.

He stated that the land allocation policy should be studied in light of the guidelines set by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Rao suggested allocating land at market prices to the Hare Rama Hare Krishna (Charitable) Foundation in Yadagirigutta.

He also mentioned that a list should be prepared for those interested in constructing guest houses on the hill. The Chief Minister insisted on adhering to TTD’s policies for guest house construction and the approval process. Additionally, he called for a clear policy with specific rules for land allocation to caste organizations.

The Chief Minister instructed officials to immediately release funds for land acquisition related to various development projects within the temple’s jurisdiction.

He ordered a comprehensive study of the engineers’ committee report concerning the construction of the Yadagirigutta temple and requested the report within a week. Furthermore, he stated that the tourism circuit should be developed under a public-private partnership policy.

Senior officials connected to the Chief Minister’s office and members of parliament were present at the meeting.
