Patna, March 24: Tejashwi Yadav, the National Executive President of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), has launched a strong attack on the state government regarding the deteriorating law and order situation. He accused the government of a significant rise in crime over the past two decades.
Targeting Nishant Kumar’s recent comments, Tejashwi asserted that crime in Bihar has surged dramatically between 2005 and 2025. Citing data from the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), he noted that organized crime and hooliganism have become widespread, creating a deeply concerning situation.
Speaking to reporters in Patna on Tuesday, he stated, “I have already presented detailed statistics on this issue in the state assembly.” He dismissed the much-discussed Samrat Chaudhary model, claiming that no political model would resonate with the public.
According to him, people are grappling with poverty, unemployment, and inflation, leading to increasing disillusionment with the current government. He also highlighted the plight of farmers following recent hailstorms and storms, asserting that crops have suffered severe damage while the government has failed to provide timely relief.
Tejashwi revealed that he has written to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, demanding immediate compensation for the affected farmers. When asked about Nishant Kumar’s future in the Janata Dal (United), Tejashwi declined to comment, labeling it an internal party matter.
He emphasized that the people of Bihar are living in an atmosphere of fear and crisis, where rising crime and corruption have severely impacted the common man. He warned that in the coming days, the public will respond decisively against misgovernance.
Reiterating his party’s stance, he stated that the RJD will continue to raise public issues both on the streets and inside the assembly until the concerns of the people are addressed.
