Tejashwi Yadav Congratulates New Bihar CM, Critiques Leadership Transition

Patna, April 15: Senior BJP leader Samrat Chaudhary took the oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar on Wednesday. Following his appointment, Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav extended his congratulations while also delivering a sharp critique of the new leadership.

In a post on the social networking site X, Yadav wrote, “I hope the newly ‘selected’ Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary will work decisively for the progress, prosperity, peace, harmony, security, and overall improvement of Bihar, without compromising the self-respect of Biharis to outside directives.”

He also expressed heartfelt wishes to Chaudhary, stating, “Congratulations on fulfilling your promise to remove the elected Chief Minister Nitish Kumar from power and best wishes on becoming the selected Chief Minister.”

Yadav emphasized that the new CM should be fully aware of the harsh realities that, after 21 years of NDA rule, Bihar lags significantly behind the national average in various indicators, including quality education, healthcare, law and order, income-investment, job creation, poverty migration, and overall human development.

Meanwhile, independent MP Rajesh Ranjan, also known as Pappu Yadav, took a jab at the new Chief Minister. He congratulated Chaudhary and his team on X, stating, “Congratulations to the new Chief Minister of Bihar and his associates on taking the oath and assuming responsibilities. Samrat Chaudhary has become the first Chief Minister from BJP in Bihar, yet there is an unusual silence within the party!” He further questioned whether Chaudhary was appointed from Nitish Kumar’s quota, suggesting that Kumar’s influence weighed heavily in the BJP’s decision-making process.
