According to reports, the altercation began around 11:15 PM on Friday night at the wedding. A few young men started arguing over food, which quickly turned into a physical confrontation. In an attempt to intervene, 17-year-old Nikhil Yadav from nearby Nahar Pur village was attacked with a knife by the assailants. The attack was so severe that Nikhil died at the scene. Another young man who tried to help him also suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Panic ensued at the wedding after the incident, and the attackers fled the scene. Upon receiving the information, Rani Bagh police arrived, took possession of the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination. They have initiated an investigation and are identifying the suspects using CCTV footage and eyewitness accounts.
