
New Delhi, March 28: A shocking incident unfolded in the Rani Bagh area of New Delhi during a wedding ceremony. A minor dispute over food escalated into violence, resulting in the tragic death of a 17-year-old boy. Another young man sustained serious injuries. Police have arrested the main suspect following the incident.
According to reports, the altercation began around 11:15 PM on Friday night at the wedding. A few young men started arguing over food, which quickly turned into a physical confrontation. In an attempt to intervene, 17-year-old Nikhil Yadav from nearby Nahar Pur village was attacked with a knife by the assailants. The attack was so severe that Nikhil died at the scene. Another young man who tried to help him also suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Panic ensued at the wedding after the incident, and the attackers fled the scene. Upon receiving the information, Rani Bagh police arrived, took possession of the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination. They have initiated an investigation and are identifying the suspects using CCTV footage and eyewitness accounts. The police have arrested the main suspect and his accomplice, and they have also recovered the knife used in the attack. Further investigations are ongoing.
In a related incident, a 22-year-old man was recently stabbed to death in the Kashmiri Colony area of Alipur, New Delhi. The victim, identified as Arun Kumar from Burari, was reportedly struggling with substance abuse during his teenage years. The police arrested Arun Joshi, the suspect in this case.
