Mumbai, October 9 (Daily Kiran) : The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) in Mumbai has opened applications for various faculty positions, including professors, associate professors, and assistant professors across its campuses. This opportunity is particularly appealing to those seeking employment in a prestigious educational institution.
The official notification from TISS details nine vacancies. These include one position for a Professor of Social Work at the Tuljapur campus (OBC category), one for a Professor of Statistics at the Hyderabad campus (SC category), and several associate and assistant professor roles at both the Tuljapur and Guwahati campuses.
Candidates interested in applying must do so online by November 3. To be eligible, applicants for the professor roles should hold a PhD and have at least ten years of teaching or research experience, along with ten research publications. For associate professors, a PhD and a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks are required, alongside eight years of experience and seven publications. Assistant professor candidates must comply with UGC regulations, holding a Master’s degree with 55% marks and either a NET qualification or a PhD.
When filling out the application, candidates must pay a fee based on their ₹2,000 for general applicants, ₹1,500 for OBC/EWS and female candidates, ₹1,000 for SC/ST applicants, and ₹500 for those in the PWD category.
Selection will be based on application screening, shortlisting, and interviews. The salary structure includes an academic pay level of 14 for professors, 13A for associate professors, and 10 for assistant professors.
