Syed Sadatullah Hussaini Extends Warm Wishes for Eid-ul-Azha

New Delhi, May 27: Syed Sadatullah Hussaini, the President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, conveyed heartfelt greetings and congratulations to the media on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. He expressed, “May Allah make this Bakrid a source of happiness and peace, ushering in a new era adorned with justice, humility, and welfare.”

He elaborated on the significance of Eid-ul-Azha, describing it as a festival of monotheism—a celebration of complete devotion to one God, surrendering oneself entirely before Him, and liberation from polytheism and all forms of false attachments. It is a festival of loyalty: fidelity to the promises made to Allah; unwavering commitment to truth even in times of trials; and a loyalty that demands sacrifice without hesitation.

This festival symbolizes steadfastness. Eid-ul-Azha revives the brilliant example of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him), who remained unwavering like a mountain amidst the most challenging tests. He referenced a verse from the Holy Quran, which immortalizes this example in words that continue to guide humanity through the ages.

The Jamaat President further stated, “This Eid represents patience and strength, determination and focus. It celebrates sacrifice—the true spirit of offering oneself, one’s entire existence, life, and family for the truth, bowing to the will of Allah, a legacy left for all humanity by Khalilullah (Friend of Allah).”

Syed Sadatullah Hussaini emphasized, “In the current circumstances, the ideals of Ibrahim (peace be upon him) hold significant lessons, success, and secrets for the Muslim community. Indeed, the Muslim community faces numerous challenges worldwide and within our country. The example of Ibrahim (peace be upon him) illustrates that such challenges test the faithful, and it is Allah’s tradition that He associates great successes with qualities like firm resolve and steadfastness.”

“Eid-ul-Azha is not merely a formal celebration; it is a divine prescription for character development akin to that of Ibrahim (peace be upon him) within the Muslim community. It is essential that all rituals of this Eid are performed with an understanding of its core purpose. Let us make this Eid a means to enhance the qualities of faith and steadfastness. If these virtues are cultivated within us, by Allah’s will, our paths will be illuminated, and our future will be bright.”

The President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind prayed to Allah to grant us faith like Ibrahim, steadfastness like Ibrahim, and dedication like Ibrahim, and to provide us with the fortune and capability to fulfill our responsibilities in the current circumstances with focus.
