They emphasized the need for accelerated relief and rescue operations, instructing local officials to ensure that all necessary facilities are available in relief camps.

During the visit, Minister Khanna remarked on the natural disaster caused by heavy rainfall, which has led to flooding in the low-lying areas along the river. He assured that the government is taking the situation seriously and is committed to providing all possible assistance to the victims.

Khanna praised the efforts of the municipal team, stating, “Our mayor, the municipal commissioner, and their entire team have been on the ground for several days, working tirelessly to mitigate the flood’s impact and address the challenges faced by residents.” He also expressed gratitude to the NGOs and companies providing aid through corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Additionally, Khanna noted that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has conducted an aerial survey of the affected areas, reaffirming the government’s commitment to stand firmly with those in distress during this crisis. The aim is to ensure that no affected individual faces undue hardship.

Mayor Kharkwal highlighted the ongoing efforts of the municipal corporation in the flood-hit regions. “We are continuously visiting the area, and our entire team is present. Nearly 1,000 staff members have been working on the ground for about 20 days,” she said.
