Akhilesh Yadav Critiques Rajnath Singhs Press Conference, Calls for Accountability in Lucknow
Akhilesh Yadav criticizes Rajnath Singhs press conference, questioning leadership in Lucknow and highlighting political tensions.

Lucknow, October 16 (Daily Kiran) : The leader of the Samajwadi Party (SP), Akhilesh Yadav, has taken a jab at Defense Minister Rajnath Singh‘s recent press conference. Yadav remarked that the “Lucknow Express” has suffered a breakdown, implying that the leadership in Lucknow is being handed over to someone else by Delhi’s decision-makers.
He dismissed the press conference as mere theatrics, suggesting that the real agenda is to permanently remove the “engine” of Lucknow by undermining its leadership.
In a post on the social media platform X, Yadav stirred political discussions by commenting on the upcoming press conference by the ruling party. He wrote, “I hear there will be a significant press conference from the authorities. It seems the ‘Lucknow Express’ has stalled, prompting an internal decision from Delhi to hand over Lucknow’s command to another.”
Yadav further questioned, “Who will protect the people of Lucknow now?” He refrained from naming any specific leader or incident, leaving his remarks open to interpretation.
In response, Rajnath Singh used the press conference to target the opposition and the INDIA coalition, alleging that their intentions are not about electoral reform but rather about creating chaos to seize power. He accused Rahul Gandhi of using youth as pawns in a political game and suggested that some are advocating for a change in power similar to events in Bangladesh.
Singh asserted that Congress and its allies are leveraging youth for political conflict, with some openly calling for the government to be toppled. He emphasized that this struggle is not about electoral reforms or issues related to Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, but rather a quest for power. He concluded by stating that India’s future lies not in conflict, but in dialogue and nation-building.
