
Haridwar, June 13: Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kailashanand Giri has lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his twelve years in office, claiming that the level of development achieved during this period is unlikely to be matched by any future Prime Minister for the next 1,200 years.
Speaking in Haridwar, Swami Kailashanand Giri highlighted the significant infrastructure advancements under PM Modi’s leadership. He noted that travel time from Haridwar to Delhi has been reduced to just 2 hours and 50 minutes, and from Dehradun to Delhi to 2 hours and 36 minutes, down from the previous six hours. The construction of the Ganga Expressway and other expressways has made travel faster and more convenient, transforming areas that previously lacked roads into highways. Basic amenities such as water and electricity have been extended to villages across the region.
He emphasized that PM Modi focuses not only on temples and monasteries but also on comprehensive development. He commended the government’s efforts to curb Naxalism and terrorism, mentioning Home Minister Amit Shah’s commitment to eradicating Naxalism by setting deadlines, leading to either the death or surrender of remaining Naxalites.
Swami Kailashanand Giri also referenced the extensive development of sacred sites in Uttarakhand, including Ram Janmabhoomi, Kashi Vishwanath, and Kedarnath, stating that these places have been revitalized during PM Modi’s tenure, positioning India strongly on the global stage.
Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal visited Haridwar to celebrate PM Modi’s twelve years in office and seek blessings from Swami Kailashanand Giri. She remarked on the significance of this milestone for the country and democracy, noting the substantial progress achieved under his leadership. She expressed her prayers for PM Modi’s long life and continued leadership, emphasizing that while the world faces turmoil, India is not only resilient but also advancing.
Maliwal shared her experience of receiving blessings from Swami Kailashanand Giri, feeling a sense of peace and lightness. She expressed her commitment to working for culture and women’s rights, seeking blessings from the public as she embarks on her journey.
Swami Kailashanand Giri affectionately referred to Maliwal as his daughter, stating that her spiritual and national journey begins in Haridwar, the spiritual capital. He praised her for her dedication to the country’s traditions and her intelligence, highlighting the need for leaders like her in the BJP.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak remarked on PM Modi’s long tenure, thanking citizens for the opportunity to serve under his leadership over the past twelve years. He noted that PM Modi has established himself as a popular leader globally while being regarded as a family member by the people of India.
UP BJP President Pankaj Chaudhary stated that PM Modi’s twelve years have been highly successful, benefiting all sections of society.
