Anil Baluni Urges Swift Approval for Pending Development Projects in Garhwal

Anil Baluni met with Union Minister Bhupender Yadav to discuss urgent approvals for development projects in Garhwal, Uttarakhand.

New Delhi, November 2 (Daily Kiran) : Anil Baluni, a Member of Parliament from Garhwal and the BJP’s National Communication Head, met with Union Minister for Forests, Environment, and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav on November 2. The two discussed various significant issues related to the development of the Garhwal constituency and Uttarakhand.

During the meeting, Baluni emphasized the need for prompt approvals regarding forest and environmental clearances, as well as the transfer of forest land for important development projects that have been delayed for an extended period. He pointed out that timely implementation of projects related to roads, connectivity, and infrastructure is crucial, especially given the geographical challenges of mountainous regions.

Baluni urged the central minister to initiate effective measures at the government level to expedite the necessary forest and environmental approvals and resolve issues related to land transfer. He noted that obtaining these approvals would enhance road connectivity and infrastructure in Garhwal’s remote areas, ultimately benefiting local residents and fostering overall regional development.

To ensure practical solutions, Baluni also requested a joint meeting of officials from both central and state government agencies. This would facilitate coordination to address the obstacles causing delays in these pending projects.

Minister Bhupender Yadav listened attentively to the concerns raised by Baluni and assured him that necessary steps would be taken towards their resolution. Baluni expressed confidence that with the central government’s support and better coordination among relevant departments, significant development projects in Garhwal and across Uttarakhand would gain momentum, promoting growth and improved public amenities in the region.
