Vadodara Artist Shaheena Gandhi Presents Unique Artwork to PM Modi
Vadodara artist Shaheena Gandhi gifts a unique artwork to PM Modi, celebrating national unity with agate stones.

Vadodara, November 2 (Daily Kiran) : Shaheena Gandhi, a talented artist from Vadodara, has made her mark by presenting a unique piece of art to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Known for her intricate creations using agate stones, Gandhi gifted a special artwork that reflects the National Unity Day parade and the iconic Statue of Unity. The artwork, crafted from thousands of natural-colored agate stones, took her approximately two weeks to complete.
On October 30, during the ‘Bharat Parv 2026′ event, Prime Minister Modi visited Gandhi’s stall. It was here that he admired her creations and received the artwork inspired by the National Unity Day parade. The piece showcases a vibrant parade scene, with the Statue of Unity in the background and the surrounding natural beauty.
Gandhi has been creating art with agate stones for the past 40 years, producing around 500 to 600 pieces during her career. She explained that this art form requires meticulous attention to detail, as the small pieces of agate cannot be dyed separately. Instead, she utilizes the stones’ natural colors to create her masterpieces.
The time it takes to complete her artworks varies based on the design and intricacy. Prices for her creations range from 5,000 to 500,000 rupees, depending on the level of detail involved.
Reflecting on her first encounter with Prime Minister Modi, Gandhi recounted how she had previously shown him a map of India made from agate stones. Although he praised that piece, its larger size prevented him from accepting it as a gift. He mentioned he would be open to receiving a different, more special creation in the future. This led to their reunion in 2026, where she presented the National Unity Day artwork, which he graciously accepted.
Gandhi also shared her pride in being recognized in the Golden Book of World Records as the first artist to create such unique artworks. Before granting this honor, a thorough investigation was conducted to ensure no one else in the world was doing similar work. She views this recognition as a significant achievement for herself and her family, attributing her artistic talent to a divine gift rather than formal training. Her family plays a crucial role in supporting her endeavors, and she considers the Prime Minister’s acceptance of her artwork a remarkable milestone for them all.
