Students Celebrate Gold Medals at Rani Durgavati University Convocation

Jabalpur, June 21: President Droupadi Murmu attended the 36th convocation of Rani Durgavati University as the chief guest on Sunday. During the ceremony, she awarded degrees and gold medals to outstanding students from various faculties. The event was also graced by Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, and other senior officials.

In a secure environment, President Murmu presented gold medals and degrees to the meritorious students. The atmosphere was filled with excitement, especially among those receiving gold medals. One student, who earned five gold medals in Mathematics, expressed his joy, stating, “Today, I received five gold medals in Mathematics from the President. This is a moment of immense pride for me. This achievement validates my hard work.”

Another student, who received three gold medals in Philosophy, shared her happiness, saying, “I am very happy to have received three gold medals in Philosophy. It was wonderful to meet the President and the ministers present here. This is a memorable and inspiring occasion for me.”

Later, President Murmu shared details of the ceremony on the social media platform ‘X’. In her official post, she wrote, “President Droupadi Murmu participated in the 36th convocation of Rani Durgavati University in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. She emphasized that fostering creative thinking, scientific outlook, and entrepreneurial spirit is a crucial responsibility of higher educational institutions. She advised students to understand the challenges faced by marginalized and rural communities, develop solutions based on their needs, empower them, and contribute to bringing them into the mainstream of development.”
