
Mumbai, August 22: A student was injured in a hit-and-run incident in the Vile Parle area of Mumbai. The victim was struck by a motorcyclist who fled the scene immediately after the accident. The police have registered a case against the unidentified individual and have begun their search for the suspect.
According to initial reports, the incident occurred near Mithibai College on NS Road Number 1. CCTV footage captured the moment the student was crossing the road. As she was nearing the other side, a speeding motorcyclist collided with her. The impact caused the girl to fall onto the road, drawing a crowd of local residents and passersby. She was promptly rushed to the hospital.
Unfortunately, the motorcyclist managed to escape the scene after the collision. Eyewitnesses attempted to stop him, but he successfully fled. The police were notified of the incident and arrived promptly to initiate their investigation.
Currently, the Juhu police station in Mumbai has filed a case against the unidentified motorcyclist. Efforts are underway to locate the suspect, and nearby CCTV footage is being reviewed to identify the motorcycle involved.
In a separate incident earlier, a 25-year-old woman was brutally attacked with a knife in Daund, Maharashtra. According to police reports, Priyanka Umesh Gaikwad filed a complaint against the assailants, Vishal Prakash Jadhav and Rishi Ashok Doke.
The attack occurred on the night of August 19 around 8:30 PM. The victim was riding a scooter with her child and a friend when the suspects, on a motorcycle, began to follow them. They forced the woman into a secluded area of Defense Colony. Rishi Doke attempted to restrain her while Vishal Jadhav brandished a knife and inflicted a serious injury to her neck.
Upon hearing her screams, nearby youths rushed to her aid. The police also arrived shortly after, prompting both attackers to flee. The injured woman sought help from the police, and with the assistance of locals, she was first taken to Mahalaxmi Hospital and later transferred to Pyramid Hospital.
