Tragic Motorcycle Collision in Haridwar Claims Three Lives, Six Injured

Haridwar, August 22: A devastating motorcycle collision in Haridwar district has resulted in the deaths of three individuals and left six others seriously injured. The incident occurred in Roorkee on Friday night around 10:30 PM on Kaliyar Road.

According to officials, the collision involved four motorcycles, all of which were severely damaged. Upon receiving reports of the accident, police from the Kaliyar police station and Civil Lines rushed to the scene. Tragically, three young men died at the site, while six others sustained serious injuries and were transported to the hospital for treatment.

The deceased have been identified as Ayaan (18) from Manglaur, and Rajoo (24) and Rajiv (18) from Piran Kaliyar. Additionally, Aditya Chandra (25) from Khanzarpur is reported to be in critical condition and has been referred to AIIMS for further care. The other injured individuals are receiving treatment at Roorkee Civil Hospital.

Witnesses reported that the accident began with a head-on collision between two motorcycles, causing the riders to fall. Subsequently, two more motorcycles collided with the already fallen bikes and the people on the road. They immediately alerted the police and ambulance services, assisting the injured until help arrived.

The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem examinations, and their families have been notified. An investigation is underway, and further updates are anticipated.

This tragic event follows another serious accident on August 19, when a pick-up truck collided with a car near the Manimai Temple in Doiwala, resulting in four fatalities and three serious injuries. Authorities reported that the driver of the pick-up truck fled the scene, and police are actively searching for him.
