The Indian Embassy in Kuwait shared details on its social media account, revealing that Ambassador Parmita Tripathi met with Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah, Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs, on Tuesday.
During the meeting, they reinforced the friendship between India and Kuwait and discussed regional development. They reviewed the outcomes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Kuwait in December 2024. The conversation also explored ways to strengthen strategic partnerships in emerging areas such as technology, research, and innovation.
The Ambassador reiterated India’s solidarity with Kuwait and its support for peaceful resolutions through dialogue and diplomacy. She emphasized the urgent need for secure and uninterrupted navigation through the Strait of Hormuz to maintain peace, stability, and global energy security in the region.
Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah also met with ambassadors from Cuba and China on the same day, warmly welcoming all diplomats prior to their discussions.
Ambassador Parmita Tripathi has consistently participated in meetings to bolster India’s position in improving relations with Kuwait. Last year, she met with Kuwait’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, as part of efforts to deepen the strategic partnership and expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
