New Delhi, June 15: The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has announced the recruitment of 50 constable positions (General Duty) for both male and female candidates. These vacancies include tradesmen roles such as tailor, cobbler, cook, barber, washerman, cleaner, gardener, water carrier, waiter, and helper. The application deadline is set for June 20.
Among the 50 vacancies, there are 38 unreserved (UR) positions, 8 for Scheduled Castes (SC), and 4 for Scheduled Tribes (ST). The offline application process began on May 22, and interested candidates are advised to complete their registration before the deadline.
Applicants must possess at least a matriculation or equivalent qualification from a recognized board or institution. Additionally, candidates should meet other specified eligibility criteria and skills.
The maximum age limit for applicants is 35 years, calculated as of January 1. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per government rules.
Selection of eligible candidates will be based on a series of tests, including Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), written examination, Detailed Medical Examination (DME), Review Medical Examination (RME), document verification, and the final merit list.
To apply, candidates should first visit the official SSB website. After reaching the homepage, click on the notification link for the relevant position. Download the application form provided in the notification and print it out. Fill in all required information and attach the necessary documents. Finally, place everything in an envelope and send it to “Director General Office, Sashastra Seema Bal (East), Block-V, RK Puram, New Delhi-110066” before the deadline.
