SIT Conducting Impartial Investigation in Ram Temple Case: Mahamandaleshwar Karoli Shankar Maharaj

Haridwar, June 30: Mahamandaleshwar Karoli Shankar Maharaj has responded sharply to AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi’s comments regarding alleged financial irregularities linked to the Ram Temple Trust. He stated that such statements disrupt social harmony and seem aimed solely at political gain. Issues of faith, like the Ram Temple, should not be politicized.

In response to Owaisi’s remark suggesting that a Muslim involved in the Trust would face dire consequences, Karoli Shankar Maharaj criticized Owaisi’s aggressive demeanor. He pointed out that phrases like “shoot them,” “loot them,” and “hang them” are not reflective of a civilized society. He emphasized that millions of Muslims serve in various government and private sectors across the country. If any financial irregularities arise, they should be addressed legally, not through violence. He questioned any instance where a person was harmed solely for being Muslim, asserting that Owaisi’s rhetoric aims to incite Hindus and lacks empathy for the Ram Temple.

Karoli Shankar Maharaj further suggested that Owaisi might be projecting his organization’s experiences onto the Ram Temple situation. He sarcastically remarked that if a Hindu member were involved in a similar issue within Owaisi’s organization, perhaps they would envision similar actions. This, he argued, is merely a provocative statement meant to stir controversy.

He noted that numerous Hindu institutions have been operating smoothly for years. Following the establishment of a government supporting Sanatan traditions, these institutions have been managed systematically. Some political parties and leaders, lacking substantial issues to confront the government, are attempting to tarnish the image of the temple and its associated institutions by leveraging the alleged financial disputes.

Regarding the ongoing actions in the Ram Temple case, he affirmed that they are entirely within constitutional procedures. He mentioned that an SIT has been formed, and several recoveries have occurred during the investigation. The administration is fulfilling its responsibilities, and any irregularities will be revealed through the inquiry. Those who have mismanaged affairs may be removed, and others can be appointed as needed.

On the financial investigation, he stated that it pertains to economic transactions, making a thorough examination of bank records and financial documents essential. The SIT should reach out to all relevant parties to clarify the situation. Only through meticulous scrutiny of transactions can the truth emerge.

Mahamandaleshwar Karoli Shankar Maharaj concluded that while systemic issues may arise in any large institution, the key is to learn from them to prevent future mistakes. Ensuring greater transparency and stringent oversight in the management of the Shri Ram Temple’s funds will be the most significant lesson and success from this entire episode.
