
Rampur, October 9 (Daily Kiran) : A tragic bus accident occurred near Rampur in Himachal Pradesh, sending shockwaves through the local community. On the morning of October 9, a bus operated by the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) lost control and plunged off the road at a bend near Rai.
Immediate reports indicated that over 15 individuals sustained injuries in the incident. Local residents quickly notified the police control room and initiated rescue operations. The bus was traveling from Sanei to Rampur and had a total of 20 people on board, including the driver and conductor.
Seventeen injured passengers have been transported to Khaneiri Hospital in Rampur for treatment. Among them, two individuals have suffered serious head injuries.
The scene of the accident was chaotic, with locals rushing to assist the victims as the bus fell off the road. Many used private vehicles to transport the injured to the hospital. The police arrived shortly after to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
As of now, the exact cause of the bus’s loss of control remains unclear. Fortunately, the bus came to a halt near a goshal (cattle shelter), preventing a potentially more devastating outcome had it continued to roll down the slope. This incident occurred approximately 15 kilometers from Rampur, near Rai.
