Mumbai, June 23: Actress and singer Shruti Haasan recently shared an amusing childhood anecdote on social media. She revealed that a decision she made during her teenage years did not sit well with her father, the renowned actor Kamal Haasan, leading to his anger.
During an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on Instagram, a fan inquired about her personal style and body piercings. In response, Shruti disclosed that she had her belly button pierced as a teenager.
Along with her response, she shared a picture and wrote, “This decision was part of my teenage mischief. I got my belly button pierced at the age of 19, and my appa was quite upset about it.”
The actress noted that many teenagers make decisions that elicit varied reactions from their families.
Shruti Haasan is well-known for her unique and bold fashion sense. In response to another fan’s question about her hair care routine, she revealed that she hasn’t visited a hair salon in the past five years. She mentioned that she takes care of her hair herself and cuts and treats it as needed.
“I last colored my hair in 2017, and since then, I haven’t had any professional hair treatments. I enjoy experimenting with my hair and looks. Sometimes I use homemade masks, and other times I cut it myself,” she explained.
