Mumbai, June 23: Actress Akanksha Ranjan is currently in the spotlight for her personal decision regarding egg freezing. In a recent interview, she candidly discussed her choice and her parents’ reactions to it.
Talking about her decision, Akanksha stated, “I didn’t need to convince my parents about this choice. I am at an age where they fully trust me. They know I don’t make hasty decisions. I always take my time to understand everything before making a choice. That’s why my family has never questioned my decisions; instead, they have supported me.”
She explained that her father initially lacked knowledge about the entire process. He grew up in a time and environment where such topics were rarely discussed. “I had to explain what egg freezing is and why it is necessary. He listened carefully and tried to understand,” she added.
Akanksha mentioned that her father never opposed her decision; he just needed more information. “When I explained in detail why I wanted to do this and what my reasons were, he supported me. My mother, however, had different concerns.”
“My mother was worried about my health because this process involves medical treatment and certain necessary procedures. As a mother, she was naturally concerned about her daughter’s well-being. But when I explained that I was making this decision with the future in mind, she understood. Her support means a lot to me,” Akanksha said.
She further emphasized, “When your family stands by you, it makes even the biggest decisions easier. My parents have never imposed their thoughts on me. They have always listened and trusted me. I never felt pressured regarding this decision.”
On the work front, Akanksha Ranjan will soon be seen in the second season of her popular series ‘Gram Chikitsalay.’
