Greater Noida, February 19: The police in Greater Noida have uncovered a shocking murder case in the Dadri area. Four individuals have been arrested, including one who was injured during the incident. Authorities recovered a sharp weapon used in the murder, an illegal .315 bore firearm along with one live and one spent cartridge, and the motorcycle used in the crime.

According to police reports, an unidentified body was discovered near Shiv Vatika Colony on February 16. Through social media, electronic surveillance, pamphlets, and CCTV footage, the deceased was identified as Govind Rawal, also known as Bhura, a resident of Ghodi Bacheda village in Dadri. A case was registered against unknown assailants following a complaint from the victim’s brother.

To solve the case, four police teams were formed. On February 19, police apprehended Rohit Rawal and Nafees during a confrontation while they were traveling from Kot Nahar to Chakrasenpur village. Nafees sustained injuries during the encounter. Additionally, Dharmendra and the victim’s wife, Preeti Devi, were also arrested.

During interrogation, Rohit revealed that he was having an illicit relationship with Preeti. Govind reportedly abused Preeti when intoxicated, prompting her and Rohit to conspire to eliminate him. On February 12, Rohit lured Govind from his home and brought him to Dadri on Dharmendra’s motorcycle.

After purchasing alcohol near the GT Road Chitahira petrol pump, the trio consumed it in an empty plot. Once Govind was heavily intoxicated, Rohit restrained him while Nafees fatally attacked him with the sharp weapon. They initially discarded the body at the scene before attempting to dispose of it later.

Police noted that main suspects Rohit and Nafees have prior criminal records, including charges of attempted murder, violations of the Arms Act, theft, and narcotics-related offenses.
