Shocking Daylight Shooting in Aligarh: Mother Shot in Front of Daughter Over Old Rivalry

Lucknow, June 6: A shocking incident has emerged from Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, where a woman was shot in front of her daughter on Saturday afternoon around 2 PM. The attack occurred in the Niwari Mor area of the Rorawar police station jurisdiction, where two assailants on a motorcycle opened fire and fled the scene.

The woman sustained serious injuries. Upon receiving the report, police arrived promptly and rushed her to the district hospital for immediate treatment. This incident is believed to be linked to an old rivalry. Aligarh’s DSP, Sarvam Singh, confirmed that they received information about the injured woman around 2 PM from the Rorawar police station.

Upon arrival, police transported the victim to the district hospital, where she is now out of danger following initial treatment. During the investigation, the woman’s husband revealed that the incident stemmed from a prior dispute over theft with a local individual named Dal Sher.

Authorities are currently investigating the case from all angles, searching for the assailants, and reviewing CCTV footage.

In a related incident, on June 4, gunfire erupted in Panchkula, Haryana, in the upscale Sector 5 area, causing panic when unidentified attackers shot nightclub owner Ratan Lubana. He was seriously injured, with one bullet penetrating his abdomen and another striking his shoulder. The sudden shooting sent locals fleeing for safety. Lubana was immediately taken to the civil hospital in Panchkula for initial treatment and later referred to PGIMER in Chandigarh. His family subsequently admitted him to a private hospital in Mohali for better care.
