Bhopal, March 5: On his birthday, Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan made significant announcements while also participating in a tree-planting event. He revealed plans to launch ‘Mama Coaching’ and a mobile hospital service for underprivileged and talented children in the Vidisha parliamentary constituency.
Chouhan, a former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, emphasized the importance of environmental conservation during the tree-planting ceremony. He stated that trees are not just wooden structures; they are homes for millions of living beings and essential for our oxygen supply. He urged everyone to plant trees to combat rising global temperatures.
In a generous move for the underprivileged youth, Chouhan announced the initiation of ‘Mama Coaching Classes’ in Vidisha, Raisen, and Bhairunda. He assured that financial constraints would not hinder any child’s future. The initiative aims to provide excellent and free coaching to help children from low-income families aspire to become officers. Additionally, in memory of his parents, he announced the ‘Prem-Sundar Talent Award’ for meritorious students in the Vidisha constituency, which will include cash prizes for top performers.
Chouhan also promised improved facilities for the differently-abled. He mentioned that they will no longer struggle with manually pedaling bicycles; instead, they will have access to battery-operated motorized bicycles, enabling them to commute and earn a livelihood.
To enhance healthcare access in remote areas, he introduced the ‘Mama Mobile Hospital’ initiative. This mobile hospital will reach every village and hamlet in the eight assembly segments of Vidisha, providing free medical treatment at the doorstep of the underprivileged.
Chouhan elaborated on the mobile clinics, stating that eight such clinics will be established across all eight assembly constituencies in his parliamentary area. These clinics will be equipped with essential medications and will facilitate preliminary tests like ECGs and blood tests, staffed by doctors, compounders, and necessary medical personnel.
In remote areas, arrangements will be made to ensure that 5 to 10 villagers can gather for check-ups. Immediate treatment will be provided for minor ailments, and referrals will be made for more serious conditions.
