SBI SCO Recruitment Alert: Opportunities for Candidates Aged 60 to 62, Apply by July 8

New Delhi, June 19: The State Bank of India (SBI) has issued an official notification inviting applications from eligible citizens for the positions of Specialist Cadre Officer (SCO) on a contractual basis.

SBI is seeking applications for several SCO positions, including one Defense Banking Advisor (Navy), one Advisor (Central Armed Police Force), and three Circle Defense Banking Advisors (CDBA).

The online application process commenced on June 18, with the final date for submission set for July 8. Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can fill out the application form on SBI’s official portal before or by the deadline.

Candidates applying for the Defense Banking Advisor (Navy) position must be retired Vice Admirals or Rear Admirals from the Indian Navy. For the Advisor (Central Armed Police Force) role, applicants should have a minimum of three years of experience and must be retired Directors General (DG) from the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF). Those applying for the Circle Defense Banking Advisor (CDBA) position should be retired Major Generals or Brigadiers.

The maximum age limit for applicants is set at 62 years for the Defense Banking Advisor (Navy) and Advisor (Central Armed Police Force) positions, and 60 years for the Circle Defense Banking Advisor (CDBA) role, calculated as of May 31. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per government guidelines.

Selection of eligible candidates will be based on shortlisting, interviews, and merit lists. The annual CTC for selected candidates will be ₹37.95 lakhs for the Defense Banking Advisor (Navy) and Advisor (Central Armed Police Force) positions, and ₹26.95 lakhs for the Circle Defense Banking Advisor (CDBA) role.

While filling out the application form, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online, which is set at ₹750 for General/OBC/EWS categories. Candidates from SC/ST/PWD categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.

Selected candidates will initially be appointed for a period of two years. Upon completion of the contract, the bank may consider extending it for a maximum of two additional years, with an upper age limit of 65 years.
