Samsung has officially unveiled the W26, a China-exclusive foldable smartphone that serves as a premium variant of the Galaxy Z Fold7, featuring satellite connectivity, enhanced packaging, and a luxury unboxing experience designed for the Chinese market.

The W26 introduces support for China’s Tiantong satellite system, enabling users to make calls and send messages in remote areas without network coverage — a feature currently exclusive to select high-end Chinese devices.

Premium Design and Hardware

The Samsung W26 retains the familiar design of the Z Fold7 but adds a touch of exclusivity through gold accents around the frame and camera rings. The phone is available in red and black color options, both exuding a refined, luxury-inspired aesthetic.

In terms of specifications, the W26 comes with 16GB of RAM as standard across both configurations — 512GB and 1TB storage variants. No major hardware changes have been made beyond the memory upgrade and satellite support.

Exclusive Retail Experience

Samsung has emphasized the W26’s luxury appeal with a larger, gold-accented retail box that includes exclusive accessories — a rarity in modern flagship packaging. The box contains a color-matched Kevlar protective case, a 25W charger, a USB-C cable, and a CNY 1,000 gift card.

Pricing and Availability

The Samsung W26 starts at CNY 16,999 (approximately $2,390) for the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage model. The top-tier variant with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage is priced at CNY 18,999 (around $2,670).

While the W26 shares its core DNA with the Galaxy Z Fold7, its satellite connectivity, exclusive design, and premium retail package make it a collector’s edition device tailored for China’s luxury smartphone segment.
