The meeting included key officials such as Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, U.S. Ambassador to India Sergio Gor, and Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal.

We reviewed the full spectrum of our comprehensive global strategic partnership, including trade and energy, defense and security, critical minerals and AI, nuclear cooperation, and counter-terrorism and counter-narcotics efforts.”

He added, “We also addressed regional, global, and multilateral issues of mutual benefit. I look forward to joining my counterparts from Australia, Japan, and the U.S. for the Quad Foreign Ministers’ meeting here on Tuesday.”

Jaishankar, Rubio, and their Australian and Japanese counterparts, Penny Wong and Toshimitsu Motegi, will participate in the Quad Foreign Ministers’ meeting scheduled for March 26 in India.

Earlier, Jaishankar outlined India’s five-point perspective on key regional and global issues, emphasizing New Delhi’s advocacy for dialogue and diplomacy in conflict resolution, support for unimpeded maritime trade, and a strong opposition to weaponizing trade and resources.

Following discussions at Hyderabad House, he held a joint press briefing with his U.S. counterpart, stating that India and the U.S. maintain regular engagement and strategic coordination across various sectors.

Our ongoing engagement has helped us oversee the extensive and growing cooperation between our two countries.”

Highlighting India’s significant stance on essential regional and global matters, Jaishankar affirmed New Delhi’s commitment to diplomacy, adherence to international law, economic resilience, and reliable global partnerships.

He stated, “Firstly, we support dialogue and diplomacy for conflict resolution. Secondly, we advocate for safe and unimpeded maritime trade. Thirdly, we demand full respect for international law. Fourthly, we oppose the weaponization of market share and resources. Lastly, we believe in the values of reliable partnerships and strong supply chains to de-risk the global economy.”
