Mumbai, August 22: Television actress Rupali Ganguly’s brother, renowned choreographer Vijay Ganguly, is celebrating his birthday today. On this special occasion, Rupali took to Instagram to share her warm wishes.
She posted a series of pictures capturing moments spent with her brother, mother, and family. In her heartfelt message, she wrote, “Happy birthday to the most promising child of mom and dad, the best brother in the world. Keep shining, smiling, and remain the wonderful person you are. I am so proud of you.”
Vijay Ganguly is a well-known figure in the entertainment industry, having choreographed numerous hit songs. He comes from a family steeped in artistic heritage; his father was a famous film director and screenwriter, while his sister is among the popular actresses in television. This background led him to work as a child artist in several films during his childhood.
Initially, Vijay aspired to follow in his father’s footsteps as a film director and worked as an assistant director with Anurag Basu. However, his passion for dance ultimately guided him to pursue it as his profession.
He began his career as an assistant choreographer in the 2005 film “Bunty Aur Babli.” Since then, he has contributed to films like “Taare Zameen Par” and “Yuvvraaj.”
Vijay has delivered exceptional choreography in many popular Bollywood films. His work on the song “Galti Se Mistake” from the film “Jagga Jasoos” earned him significant recognition as an independent choreographer, along with a Filmfare Award.
He has also choreographed hit songs for films like “Andhadhun,” “Love Aaj Kal,” and the superhit track “Aaj Ki Raat” from “Stree 2,” featuring Tamannaah Bhatia. Recently, he was honored with the prestigious National Film Award for his work on the popular song “Aaj Ki Raat” from “Stree 2.” Additionally, he received accolades for the song “Shararat” from the film “Dhurandhar.”
