Ahmedabad, February 19: BJP spokesperson Rohan Gupta has responded to the Telangana government’s decision allowing Muslim employees to leave work at 4 PM during Ramadan. He labeled this move as ‘appeasement politics,’ asserting that such policies are common wherever the Congress party governs.

Gupta stated that politicizing religion is against the Constitution. He accused the Congress party of long indulging in appeasement politics, which he claims forms the basis of their political strategy. He raised concerns about why such decisions are repeatedly made when the Constitution does not mention reservations or special provisions based on religion.

He further noted that the Muslim community has realized that mere assurances do not lead to development. Gupta emphasized that appeasement politics is not in the nation’s interest and contradicts the fundamental principles of the Constitution.

Addressing questions raised about Congress leadership in the Shiv Sena (UBT) mouthpiece ‘Saamana,’ Gupta also targeted the opposition alliance. He stated that the public does not accept opportunistic politics. The electorate has already rejected such coalitions and has supported development-oriented politics.

Gupta sarcastically questioned whether the ‘Thugbandhan’ could benefit the country. He claimed that the aim of the India Block has become solely about gaining power, and the public does not allow such individuals to come to power. No matter how many times they change their tactics, he asserted that the Congress model has failed.

Defending the central government’s policies, Gupta stated that the initiatives implemented under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership align with the spirit of the Constitution and are designed for the public’s benefit. He noted that public trust in the government remains strong, which is why people prioritize development.

During his remarks, he also referenced the India AI Summit held in the national capital. He highlighted that this global platform featured technical experts, representatives from various countries, CEOs of major companies, and top management figures. He expressed pride that India is playing a leading role in the field of AI.

Gupta mentioned that the summit, covering approximately 70,000 square meters, hosted over 300 exhibitors and participants from more than 30 countries. Thousands of students, universities, and companies showcased innovations in AI across sectors like agriculture, pharma, and technology.

He concluded by stating that creating unnecessary controversies amidst such a significant global event is unfortunate and affects the country’s image. The BJP spokesperson urged the opposition to rise above politics and prioritize technological advancement and national interests.
