
New Delhi, June 25: On the martyrdom day of the great warrior and first commander of the Khalsa Army, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, several leaders, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, paid their respects. Shah emphasized that Baba Banda Singh Bahadur was dedicated to the protection of the motherland, religion, and self-respect, having defeated the Mughal army multiple times through his indomitable courage and skilled leadership.
In a post on the social media platform X, Amit Shah stated, “Dedicated to the protection of the motherland, religion, and self-respect, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur repeatedly defeated the Mughal army and liberated vast territories from their tyranny. He established a just system to secure the rights of farmers and, despite enduring unbearable torture, did not accept conversion.”
Shah further added, “On the martyrdom day of the great warrior, first commander of the Khalsa Army, and a symbol of unparalleled valor, I respectfully pay my homage to Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Ji.”
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari also shared a post on X, saying, “I pay my deepest respects on the martyrdom day of the brave warrior Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, who sacrificed his life for the protection of the motherland. He fought for the interests of farmers and liberated them from fear through his bravery and valor. He will be remembered for ages on the path of religion and culture.”
On this occasion, Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri remarked, “I pay my heartfelt tribute to the great warrior and protector of the oppressed, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, on his martyrdom day. His significant sacrifice will always inspire society to stand firm against oppression.”
Meanwhile, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed, “On the martyrdom day of the great warrior, unique commander, and symbol of bravery, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, I pay my deepest respects. Your indomitable courage, struggle against injustice, and supreme sacrifice for the protection of religion and humanity will always inspire us.”
