Rohan Gupta Criticizes Mamata Banerjees Refusal to Accept Election Loss

New Delhi, June 17: BJP leader Rohan Gupta expressed his views on several issues on Wednesday. He commented on former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s challenge to the Bhawanipur Assembly election results in the High Court, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut’s controversial statements, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s participation in the G7 summit. During his remarks, he also launched sharp political attacks on opposition parties.

Regarding the court challenge to the Bhawanipur Assembly election results, Rohan Gupta stated that Mamata Banerjee still refuses to accept her defeat, attributing this to her arrogance. He noted that the public had trusted Banerjee and her party for the past 15 years, but that trust has been betrayed. He emphasized that in a democracy, winning and losing are natural processes, and every political party should respect the people’s decision.

Gupta accused the Trinamool Congress of engaging in politics centered around appeasement, infiltration, alleged cut-money, and goondaism, which the public has rejected. He remarked that instead of introspecting after the election results, knocking on the court’s door indicates that the party leadership is not ready to accept reality. He asserted that if a leader does not accept the people’s mandate after an electoral defeat, it reflects political arrogance. Gupta claimed that the current situation of the Trinamool Congress is due to the leadership’s approach and their unwillingness to acknowledge the actual circumstances.

Gupta also sharply reacted to Sanjay Raut’s comments made during a press conference regarding rebel leaders. He stated that such language reflects the desperation and political disillusionment of opposition leaders. He accused the party, which once claimed to represent Balasaheb Thackeray’s principles and ideology, of now standing alongside Congress.

The BJP leader pointed out that Shiv Sena (UBT) appears to be deviating from its core ideology. He claimed that the growing dissatisfaction within the party and the ongoing political changes indicate a leadership crisis. Gupta alleged that Raut’s statements have caused significant harm to the party, stating that the damage inflicted by Raut’s political strategy and public remarks has been greater than that caused by the opposition.

Commenting on Prime Minister Modi’s participation in the G7 working session, Gupta stated that it is a testament to India’s rising international stature and successful diplomacy. He noted that despite global crises, India has maintained economic stability, which has garnered worldwide attention. According to Gupta, India effectively faces economic challenges while importing a significant portion of its energy needs.

He added that despite global economic uncertainties, India has presented a positive example through strong growth rates and controlled inflation. He asserted that this is why India’s role on international platforms is continuously strengthening, and the global community views India with respect.

Gupta further stated that under Modi’s leadership, India’s foreign policy has always prioritized the interests of the nation and its citizens. He highlighted defense cooperation with France, strategic partnerships with the United States, and other international agreements, asserting that India places national interests above all in its decisions. He concluded that due to Modi’s policies, India is advancing rapidly while facing global crises and solidifying its position among the world’s leading economies. Gupta believes that India’s economic and diplomatic strength is likely to grow even further in the coming years.
