Patna, September 16 (Daily Kiran) : Bhai Virendra, a legislator from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), has launched a strong critique of the NDA government regarding UPI charges. Speaking in Patna, he accused the central government of depleting the public’s finances and driving the country towards bankruptcy.
He stated, “The NDA government aims to rob the earnings of hard-working citizens. Inflation is at an all-time high, unemployment is rampant, and crime remains unchecked, while the government continues to impose new burdens on the public.”
Bhai Virendra urged the younger generation and Gen Z to set aside political differences and take to the streets. “Do not trust any leader; it is your duty to save the country. The future belongs to you. Only when the youth rise will the nation’s landscape change,” he emphasized.
Regarding the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) debate, he criticized the NDA government for its failure to control inflation, unemployment, and crime, suggesting that discussions about UCC are merely distractions from these pressing issues. “The talk of UCC arises because the government has failed. How will you implement it? The freedom of this country was achieved through the sacrifices of Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, and Christians. This is a secular nation, not one belonging to any single religion. The Constitution guarantees everyone the right to practice their faith,” he remarked.
He expressed concern over the deteriorating situation in the country and criticized Home Minister Amit Shah for discussing the UCC in BJP-ruled states as a diversion. “I urge Gen Z not to trust most leaders; take to the streets, we stand with you,” he said.
Bhai Virendra also commented on former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s stance on UCC, stating, “Kumar has a socialist background and has previously said that UCC will not be implemented in Bihar. We demand that he join us in the grand alliance. We will form a government and ensure UCC is not implemented anywhere in the country.”
He questioned the committee led by Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, which is visiting Bihar to assess the damage from recent floods. “Central ministers and teams come and go, but when you visit to assess disaster and flood impacts, first tell us how much money you are bringing. Is Bihar receiving any special package?” he asked.
Bhai Virendra added that the assistance of ₹7,000 for disaster-affected families is insufficient. “In this time of inflation, every family should receive at least ₹25,000 to feel that the government has provided some support,” he concluded.
